Desktop pet OEM FAQ
The questions buyers actually ask before starting a desktop-pet project, answered straight. If yours is missing, send it to the contact below.
Is EilikOem the company that makes Eilik?
No. EilikOem is an independent Shenzhen manufacturer; Eilik is a trademark of its owner and we have no connection to it. We build small emotional desktop pets in that format for brands that want one of their own.
What makes a desktop pet read as emotional?
Eyes first: an LED matrix carries more expression than a small LCD and survives drops. Then reaction latency — a pet that answers instantly feels like a toy, one that hesitates feels alive.
Do we need our own shell?
No, if a body already in production fits: your logo, colours, packaging and voice. A new silhouette or a new eye module is a development project.
What is the difference between white-label and a custom build?
White-label means a body that is already in production ships with your brand: logo, colours, packaging, packaging copy. A custom build means new industrial design, new tooling or new electronics — it is quoted and scheduled as its own project.
How do you handle toy safety compliance?
We design to the destination market's toy regulations — mechanical and physical requirements, flammability, and battery-compartment rules for anything rechargeable. Which reports and certificates apply is confirmed per project before production.
Can the desktop pet connect over Wi-Fi?
Some platforms in our line are Wi-Fi models with cloud voice services; others are Bluetooth or fully offline. Which connectivity tier fits depends on the interaction you want and the markets you ship to — we walk through it at the platform-selection step.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It differs by body and configuration: bodies already in production carry the lowest MOQ, custom projects carry a higher one. Ask us with a specific model and we will give you the current number.
Can we customize the wake word and the voice?
Partly. Voice and wake-word options depend on which voice platform a build uses — some resources are open for customization, some are not. We confirm what is changeable for your chosen platform before you commit.
